This made in USA Gibson ES DOT 335 is in nice condition considering it's age. It has obviously been played but apart from a few light surface strum light marks on the body and pick-guard does not suffer from any major marks or blemishes apart from one ding on the back edge where it fell over on stage and a professional repaired neck/headstock split which was carried out by the previous owner's guitar technician and true to his word it is a brilliant solid repair which has given no problem despite seven years of stage use with the band.( please see pic 7 ) I got this guitar about 7 years ago and have used in on stage with my tribute band -The British Beach Boys and you can see some good shots of the guitar & me playing the guitar on you tube in the HBOS video alongside Tony Rivers of Tony Rivers & The Castaways/Harmony Grass & Cliff Richard's backing vocalist fame, in our band.
By the way the only reason I am selling this guitar is that I have just acquired an '83 ES355 DOT Custom Shop and therefore this and the Tokai ( see other listings) must go to pay for the custom ( before the wife finds out!!)
These are quite rare to come on the market being a 1988 model ES DOT 335 , with an ebony fingerboard & in the wonderful natural blonde figured maple finish.

The case is the original and in fine condition inside and out with all catches and hinges working.Please note the pink lining over guitar covering tends to leave a pink deposit on some parts of the upper body area of the guitar and I will use a light polish to remove them to the best of my ability before shipping , but this is obviously an inherent problem of the manufacturer's use of this material in the case construction, on reflection the use of a yellow duster over this area before putting the lid shut would probably sole this happening in the future.
