Egmond Lucky 7 -1963 vintage SOLD

Sorry this item no longer available NOW SOLD.

Egmond Lucky 7 from 1962-3 . Made in Holland. Very rare to find one in such good solid condition. This guitar also has the bonus of a connection to Switzerland as on the headstock is a lovely design, underneath the Egmond logo, stating it was from the 'Musikhaus E.Ingold BRUGG' which I believe is still in excistance today at  Ingold Musik AG, Hauptstrasse 15, Postfach 120 ,5200 Brugg. It always amazes me how advertizing pays even over 50 years ago!

Features of the guitar: A great original finish , good overall condition, in a a red sunburst going to black on the edges with black headstock & original logos. One side of machine heads non original but matching & working fine. Seial No. on back of headstock 1707267. Adjustable Egmond tilt neck mechanism with original removable cover for access. Original bakalite/plastic bridge. Original trapeze chromium plated tailpiece. Internal resonator soundboard ( a curious design that was obviously built in to enhance the volume and sound projection qualities ). There is evidence that a pickup (probably a PP1 with intergral scratchplate and controls was fitted at some stage ) that occasionally come up on EBay but most people prefer the look of the guitar as is with no added electrics or scratch plate. (There was also an acoustic model 9104 produced at the same time which looked similar with slightly larger dimensions and had a white scratchplate) The neck has a slight bow and with the action adjusted to low playing there is some problems playing after the 6th fret but the action can be adjusted up higher if the new owner so wishes.

Overall a super guitar worthy of a collector or someone who fall in love with her.
