These come up so rarely and it's only because I decided to thin down my own collection- collectable.desirable and bankable & extremely playable Immaculate Hofner 4580/E2 thinline from mid 70's complete with original vintage case. This supports Two double coil wound 515 pickups with a typical 335 type electric control and switching configuration. The pickups are super sensitive and have a wonderful tone. The pickguard has a distinctive wrap around effect.This model seems to have been a development from the 4572 model, with the 2" deep body, twin "Mickey Mouse" body cutaways, and a bolt on neck. However, it was usually fitted with the Type 515 "Studio" pickups and had a dark brown finished laminated spruce top with walnut finish maple back and sides. It was produced from 1971 to 1982.This is a Pro model and has deluxe no-slip spring loaded machine heads,fingerbaord with MOP inlays, ivory coloured bindings around the body neck and f holes, maple back and sides with dark brown shading, slightly tinted brown shaded top. Bridge has Made in Western Germany stamped on the bottom. Fabulous inlaid desirable headstock. Note the metal nut which is behind the zero fret. This was quite unusual and only on a few Hofner models. This model was also one of the few with a bolt on neck. The guitar is in 100% original pristine condition and doesn't look to have been played much, I have owned her for 6 years and only played her at home about 3 times!. The guitar has a really easy low action with straight neck. Truss rod cover doesn't look like it has ever been moved neither do any of the original screws or neck & neck plate. Fully adjustable bridge. The guitar is wonderful to play and deserves a collector or/and player who will display or use her.

The guitar will be well and carefully packed in her own case and double boxed protected for transit.
