This is a very rare MIJ Made in Japan ( not 'crafted in Japan' ) Fender Squire Strat in almost showroom condition from 1984-87. Fender E series guitars were made to very high standard by Matsumoko, Gen-Gakki . This guitar has the look and feel of a high class classic Fender Strat, infact the woods used throught this production rum were exactly the same as used in the MIJ Fender Strats of the time, all original with its Fender System 1 trem system & locking string mechanism above the nut, it gives the same freedom of movement and fine tuning as the Kahler/ Flloyd- Rose but was infact made by Schaller for Fender.  Lovely smooth maple neck and fingerboard.  All electrics working well with high oputput from the Fender single coils. Superb deep red laquered finish gives the guitar a terrific stage appearance under lights. Sounds terrific for all styles from with that classic Strat sound. Collectable and desirable addition to any collection.
