Ronnie Wood's signed & artworked Indian Chief Strat created and painted by Paul Karslake exclusively for Ronnie for use on 2009 tour.
The reason Ronnie wanted the Indian Chief was because Ronnie wears an old American dime round his neck given to him by Muddy Waters. On this dime Paul painted a miniture Indian Chief, The guitar 's Indian Chief is the same as that on the dime.
This unique opportunity to own The Rolling Stones guitarist's actual instrument has come about because Ronnie gave it to Paul Karslake, his brother in-law, in 2008 when he signed it 'Ronnie Wood, Paul Karslake 2008 for use on 2009 tour ' on the scratchplate.You can check out the Ronnie Wood,Keith Richards, Paul Karslake connection and see some fantastic artwork that Paul has done for them and others like Brian May on Pauls site ( Google Paul Karslake, or Ronnie Wood , Paul Karslake.) The guitar is a lovely to play and a Fender Strat, that Ronnie put together for Paul to paint & the cigarette butt burns occured during playing hours on the headstock near the sixth string tuner ( a common place to hold the burning cigarette whilst playing !!) It is common knowledge that there has been a falling out between Paul & Ronnie as depicted in the national media in July 2009 with the 'Blood Brothers' when Paul laid vent to his feelings with his paint brush depicting Ronnie as a vampire sucking the blood of Paul's sister Jo Woods. So now Paul wants to move the guitar on.
It is interesting to note that the original Stars & Stripes were removed by Paul and reworked into the sunset desert /eagles scene .
There will also be a signed dated certificate of authenticity supplied by Paul with the guitar put in a new Fender hard case.
