In 1974 Stevie Ray Vaughan walked into a music store in Austin, South Texas and picked one of the biggest junkers of the wall which previously had belonged to the musician Christopher Cross.
He did a trade and this guitar which he named "Number One" or "First Wife" became his favourite guitar up till his untimely death in 1990. Paul & Ronnie have a special affinity with Stevie which goes to his resting place but with each guitar produced a special recalling of events will be supplied to the new owner in stark reality never before published.
Fender produced 100 replica signatures in '92 retailing around £12,000 - all sold out in hours.
Artist Paul Karslake,Ronnie Wood's brother in law, produced a tribute artworked replica of "Number One " in 1993. Now using a genuine Fender Strat he will supply a privileged few with one in a presentation wall display case with SRV trimmings and an original signed Paul Karslake airbrush painting of Stevie in the top of the case. Many hours of skilled working on these creates a wonderful piece of artwork that also plays very well.
The vintage case comes complete with wall hanging brackets and perspex see through panel. Each limited guitar is individually produced in Paul's studio accurate to the original, numbered and authenticated with a signed & dated certificate by Paul.
Sounds awsome and a dream to play
