Lovely matured Yamaha G55A , made in Taiwan around 30 years ago. The guitar must have had quite a history and well traveled as documentation found inside the gig bag refers to a Guitar centre in Australia and teachers notes and a farewell Bon Voyage letter from friends. The guitar is set up nicely and has a good action , It can be lowered a bit at the saddle if the new owner requires, but has also had a few dings and knocks along the way as can be expected of a guitar that has travelled around the world with it's owner. That said it is in very acceptable condition for a good quality well made classical Yamaha take some beating. The dark golden coloured spruce top with real wood marquetry, Katsura back and sides, Nato neck, and Bubinga fretboard (Babinga is referred to as "African Rosewood" but is not a species related to the rosewood family) ,gloss finish with yellowed aged bridge and nut components all add up to the vintage patina of this guiar. This model was made around 1974-80 . The serial number on the block inside the body reads 0454795 so I guess it's 1974 made in May.
Body dimensions are Scale length 658mm, Body depth 94-100mm, Body length 480mm, Body width (at widest point across shoulders) 375mm. Fingerboard width (at nut) 52mm - (at 12th fret) 60mm
A good classical guitar that will last another 30 odd years and the rest. Original good quality and good condition padded gig bag with good straps and plenty of music/accessory pockets will also be included in the price.
